El Campello Beach: Playa El Campello is a nice sandy beach with a walkway bordering it, it is a roomy beach with ample space for sun worshippers to make the most of the sunshine. Aside from the most popular playa, there are a choice of other inlets and bays which you can seek out and get away from the bustling crowds.

El Campello Location: The town is located beside the N332 highway between Alicante and Villajoyosa it is around thirty three kilometres from Alicante airport, a drive of about a half hour, it is 36 kilometres south of the resort of Benidorm and 8 miles from the Alicante city centre with its choice of tourist attractions and fantastic shopping opportunities.

El Campello Weather: The town, of course, as a result of its auspicious location, boasts some fabulous weather conditions with plenty of hours of sunny weather and not much rainfall. These conditions can be guaranteed to prevail in El Campello right through year long although the evenings and nights can be quite cold during the winter months. More than three hundred days of sunshine are usual for El Campello every year, making it an ideal holiday favourite.

The Story of El Campello: The history of El Campello goes back numerous centuries and pre-dates the Roman invasion of the region, with the "La Isleta" site close to the harbour dates back over 5,000 years, there are also some remains of the Roman years when they built fish salting factories in the area. The ancient tower dates back to the 1500's, and was erected to warn residents of attacks by Barbary pirates.
